Itineraries
Day 1
Arrive Entebbe Airport, pick up and transfer to the accommodation
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, Kisembo Simba Uganda’s designated professional driver/guide will receive and welcome you to Uganda – the Pearl of Africa. Thereafter, you will transfer to the booked accommodation in Kampala. Optional (extra cost): In case you have had an early arrival into Uganda and you’re interested, you can take a brief tour of the city. Places to visit may include the Buganda Royal Mile, the Gaddafi National Mosque, the Bahai Temple to mention but a few. Otherwise, you can check-in and just relax.

Day 2
Drive to Jinja, visit Source of the Nile and then continue to Sipi
Drive to Jinja, visit Source of the Nile and then continue to Sipi.
After breakfast we will drive to Jinja passing through the Mabira Forest before arriving at the point at which the River Nile begins its flow to the Mediterranean Sea. We will visit the Source of the Nile before proceeding to Sipi where you will have an overnight stay. Optional (extra cost): If interested, you may choose to go for white-water rafting on the Nile, or there is also the option for Kayaking on the Nile before departing Jinja.

Day 3
Sipi Falls hiking experience and afternoon coffee tour plus community encounter
You will have breakfast and thereafter proceed out to explore the Sipi Falls. The hiking (about 2½ – 3 hours) takes you to explore the nearby Sipi Falls which is a set of 3 waterfalls. The views are breathtaking and make for a great excursion while in Sipi. The afternoon coffee tour will enable you to trace the story of coffee from seed to cup and you don’t want to miss this informative experience. Later, just relax at the accommodation with some spectacular views of Sipi right in front of you.

Day 4
Exit Sipi and transfer to Murchison Falls NP via Soroti, Lira
After breakfast, the assigned driver-guide will collect you and hit the road to Murchison Falls National Park. The highlights of this park include the roaring rapids of the River Nile at Murchison Falls and the rolling plains of Uganda’s largest National Park where you will have the chance to see Lions, Giraffe, Hartebeest, Buffalo and Elephants. Additionally the concentration of Hippos and the Nile Crocodiles here will fascinate you. There will be a stop for lunch en route. Continue to the park and check into your accommodation to relax for the evening.

Day 5
Sunrise game drive, afternoon boat trip plus top of the falls walk
After breakfast we will depart for an early morning game drive across the rolling plains of Uganda’s largest National Park and be on the lookout for wildlife including Lions and Leopards (though hard to spot) amongst many others. For any birder, there are also quite a number of birds to spot during the drive. Return to the accommodation for lunch and some rest. Optional (extra cost): Hot-air balloon safari at ($380pp) instead of game drive.
After lunch, you will head out for a boat trip to the base of Murchison Falls where you will also be able to sight more animals including Hippos and Crocodiles and several water birds. Continue with a hike (approx. 45 minutes) to the top of the falls. The hike may be a bit strenuous but the thrill on reaching the top is unforgettable - miss it only if you must! From the top of the falls we return to your accommodation for dinner and a relaxed evening.

Day 6
Exit Murchison Falls NP and transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast at your accommodation we will head for Kibale Forest National Park. The drive is quite long but incredibly scenic – passing through many villages, lush green countryside and hills dotted with tea plantations that characterize this part of Uganda. The beautiful scenery will amaze you all the way.
The world famous Kibale NP is popular for its primates such as the Chimpanzees, Black and White Colobus monkeys, Red-Tailed monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkey and the Uganda Mangabey (Lophocebus Ugandae). Arrival and check in at the lodge where you will have dinner and an overnight rest. Optional: If time permits, and you’re interested, you may do any of the local activities such as the Bigodi swamp walk, crater lakes tour or visiting Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru cave for some historical and cultural insights.

Day 7
Chimp trekking Kibale Forest, lunch and transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP
After breakfast we head to the rangers’ post where you will receive a briefing on the dos and don’ts during chimp trekking. Thereafter you will proceed to trek the chimps in the Kibale Forest accompanied by an experienced ranger guide. You will be left amazed by the presence and proximity of primates here! Once you have located the Chimpanzees, you will have a full hour in their presence. You will return to the lodge for lunch and thereafter head out for Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will arrive in the evening and overnight at your booked accommodation. Optional: If interested you may enjoy a hike to the twin lakes or do a brief evening game drive.

Day 8
Undertake morning game drive and go on a boat trip on the Kazinga Channel
Rise early and have your breakfast before embarking on a morning game drive to the Kasenyi plains. Be on the lookout for Cape Buffalo, herds of Elephants plus the big cats – lions and leopards (though hard to spot) – amongst many others.
Return to the accommodation for some lunch and a rest. After lunch, you will go for a 2-hour boat trip on the Kazinga Channel that connects Lakes George and Edward. During the trip, the sight of wildlife including giant Hippos, Elephants and Crocodiles among others will fascinate you. You will also see many varieties of birds along the water banks. You will have dinner and overnight at your accommodation. Optional (no cost): If interested, you can proceed for a brief evening game drive before return to the lodge.

Day 9
Transfer to Bwindi via Ishasha sector in search of tree-climbing lions
Have breakfast then set off for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park – famously known for its resident tree-climbing lions. The chance of spotting these lions is about 70% though sometimes they are hard to spot (most especially when they are down in the grassland looking for prey). Hoping you get the chance to spot them, the sight will be spectacular!
Continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Bwindi is a big habitat for mountain gorillas in Uganda (harboring a population of approximately 400 mountain gorillas – roughly half of the world’s population) including several habituated groups, which you will trek. With a strenuous day ahead, you will check in to your accommodation and simply relax as you prepare for the Bwindi Gorilla trekking experience the following day.

Day 10
Gorilla trekking Bwindi Forest and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation
After breakfast we move to the rangers’ post where you will receive a briefing (from a ranger guide) on the dos and don’ts during trekking. Thereafter, you will enter the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for your adventure. The beauty of this rain forest is spectacular! The area offers dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. The time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates. Once you have located a Gorilla group, you will be allowed an hour in their presence. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle but endangered giants is unforgettable. Return to the accommodation, check out and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi is framed by lush, green-terraced hills that reach a height of 2,200 – 2,478m but it’s the 29 islands of various shapes and sizes scattered across the lake that make it magical — you could admire them all day.

Day 11
Depart Lake Bunyonyi and return to Entebbe Airport for return flight out
Have a relaxed breakfast at the accommodation with spectacular views of the Bunyonyi islands right in front of you and thereafter embark on your return journey to Entebbe Airport. Expect lunch and a stop en route at the Uganda Equator line mark in Kayabwe for some memorable photos and maybe buying some art pieces of interest. Proceed with the journey arriving late afternoon/early evening for drop off at the airport to catch your flight back home.
